Welcome to the Renardeau (the baby fox), a 3-star 'gîte' situated between the Queyras regional park and the Ecrins national park in the
village of Guillestre, in the French Southern Alps. This charming chalet is based in a quiet area of the village with an enclosed garden. Comfortable and tastefully decorated it's an ideal place
for those wanting to get away from it all. Capacity 6 people.
The lake of Serre Ponçon together with the mountain rivers, especially the Guil and Durance, have plenty to offer for those white water
sports lovers and equally for those passionate about trout fly fishing. Surrounded by the famous mountain passes the Isoard, the Galibier and the Vars pass, the chalet is an ideal base for
cyclists of all levels. This area of the French Alps is a real heaven for mountaineers and hikers, from the summits of over 4000m to the spectacular valleys.
For winter sports the chalet is 15 minutes from the White Forest Ski Area (Domaine de la Forêt Blanche), where you'll find the ski
resorts of Vars and Risoul with 185km of pistes from 1650m to 2750m.
The chalet is a perfect place for families with babies with it being at a low altitude of 1100m and only a 15 minute drive to the bottom
of the slopes.
This wonderful region of France, the highest in fact, where marmots, mountain goats and eagles rule the summits is a true paradise for
lovers of nature and mountain sports.
We're happy to welcome you to this genuine village which benefits from 300 days of sunshine a year.
